Although undefeated by Internet Explorer in the market, that is obviously just due to Microsoft's monopoly.
This truly magnificent browser has had its greatness for years.
Despite the misleading benchmarks of Chrome, Firefox is still the fastest browser. It loads pages and runs JavaScript faster than any other browser.
It is also the most secure, and has been the most secure browser for ages. It's just something about open-sourced products that make them more secure, but part of it is the fact that it doesn't embed itself into the operating system like IE, and it doesn't make silly assumptions about its customers to support software nobody uses that add more risks of security holes.
After all of that greatness, that's not even the best part. Firefox was built to support most standards so websites that work in Firefox will for the most part work with other standards-based browsers such as Safari, Chrome, Opera, and Internet Explorer 8.
Firefox makes the lives of developers around the world easier by not getting greedy and making up their own rules, which improves the internet as a whole.
On top of all of that, Firefox has a massive directory of extensions you can add on, all of which are free to use. Extensions like Firebug and Web Developer are must-haves for developers and are unrivaled on any other browser, and it has an endless amount of useful, free extensions for the average user, such as downloading tools, text conversion tools, security tools, and user interface improvements.
FireFox is an amazing browser and is unrivaled in greatness. It's really too bad it doesn't own most of the market.
